Nose Work Classes

If you are looking for a fun sport to participate in with your dog let On the Ball Dog Training introduce you and your dog to Nose Work. This is a fun and exciting sport where all dogs can excel! Your dog will learn to hone his natural scenting abilities to find food as well as specific scents. Our Nose Work program is designed "for fun" and does not cover all aspects of competition Nose Work. Dogs will be required to be in a crate when it is not their turn to search.

Intro To Nose Work

• Open to dogs 9 months or older who have completed a Basic Obedience class
• Class limited to 6 dogs
• Cost: $175 (For the 6 week class)
• Payment expected at first class (By check, cash, or venmo)

Nose Work is a fun and exciting sport where all dogs can excel! In this 6 week class your dog will use his/her natural scenting abilities to locate hidden food. This is a wonderful sport to help build confidence and burn off energy in any dog.

Nose Work I

• Open to dogs who have completed Intro to Nose Work
• Class limited to 6 dogs​
• Cost: $175 (For the 6 week class)
• Payment expected at first class (By check, cash, or venmo)

In Nose Work I your dog will continue to search for food and be challenged with elevated and more complex searches.

Intro To Odor

• Open to dogs who have completed Nose Work I
• Class limited to 6 dogs​
• Cost: $175 (For the 6 week class)
• Payment expected at first class (By check, cash, or venmo)

In this class your dog will transition from searching for food to searching for the first of the specific odors used in competition.​

Odor I

• Open to dogs who have completed Intro To Odor
• Class limited to 6 dogs​
• Cost: $175 (For the 6 week class)
• Payment expected at first class (By check, cash, or venmo)

In this class your dog will be introduced to the remaining odors that are used in competition.

Odor II

• Open to dogs who have completed Odor I
• Class limited to 6 dogs​
• Cost: $175 (For the 6 week class)
• Payment expected at first class (By check, cash, or venmo)

This class will build the dog's drive and independence to search.

Continuing Odor

• Open to dogs who have completed Odor II
• Class limited to 6 dogs​
• Cost: $175 (For the 6 week class)
• Payment expected at first class (By check, cash, or venmo)

In this class we will continue building your dog’s scenting skills as well as your handling skills for competition or just for a fun activity to do with your dog.
