Obedience Classes

On the Ball Dog Training wants to help you make your dog the best they can be. Our obedience classes start with basic behaviors and progress into advanced.

Basic Obedience

• Open to dogs 10 months and up
• Class limited to 6 dogs
• Cost: $185 (For the 6 week class)
• Payment expected at first class (By check, cash, or venmo)

In this 6 week course your dog will learn basic behaviors such as: sit, down, wait, stay, recalls, leave-it, and more. We will use positive, reward-based training so you will be building a strong and trusting relationship with your dog while having fun with games and activities that help reinforce the training.

Basic Obedience Plus

• Open to dogs who have completed Puppy Next Step or Basic Obedience
• Class limited to 6 dogs​
• Cost: $185 (For the 6 week class)
• Payment expected at first class (By check, cash, or venmo)

In this 6-week course you will continue to build and improve on your dog's training level by proofing behaviors learned in Basic Obedience or Puppy Next Step classes. This class is appropriate for dogs and handlers who desire additional practice to increase consistency and reliability.

Advanced Obedience

• Open to dogs who have completed Basic Obedience Plus
• Class limited to 6 dogs​
• Cost: $185 (For the 6 week class)
• Payment expected at first class (By check, cash, or venmo)

In this 6-week course we will take your dog's training to the next level by adding duration, distance and distractions to the behaviors already learned. Using interactive games, we will test their skills while building confidence in both you and your dog. We will also raise the bar on previous obedience training by incorporating some basic rally training into the class.
